Montessori is an educational approach that was developed by a physician by the name of Maria Montessori. She observed children in their natural environment and based her method on what she observed. Her theory states that children are humans who learn through observation, experience, and self-learning—she called this approach “scientific pedagogy.” She believed that all children are able to learn but that some needed extra help to make it possible for them to do so.
